"4F6•'4. 4, January 10, 2005 Mr. Cary Sanchez Rea Program Manager URS Corporation 7650 Corporate Center Drive — Suite 401 Miami, FL 33126 RE: CITY OF MIAMI JOSE MARTI PARK COMMUNITY CENTER Dear Ms. Sanchez Rea: We are delighted to submit our proposal for Architectural/Engineering design services for the Jose Marti Park Community Center. We have arranged our proposal based on our understanding. of the Community Center needs previously discussed during our earlier meeting and as described in this proposal. In general, the new work will generally involve the construction of a 31,000 SF Community Center including the gymnasium, locker rooms and related auxiliary spaces with related sitework. We anticipate the construction budget for this project to be approximately $5,990,000.00. We have carefully evaluated our fees, recognizing the unique conditions of this project, the need to accelerate design as well as the need to reduce the fee to the lowest levels possible. We propose the following: A. Basic Service Fee Proposal: This includes the scope of services listed in the attached A/E Owner Architect Agreement. Basic Services $ 477,328.00 B. Supplemental Services: 1. Programming: This work will be especially important to the project. It will define all equipment, furniture and fixtures to be provided in the facility with related utility equipment. This will become the basis of the design. Also this work will be important to establish the equipment, furniture and fixture budget for purchase by the City Parks Department. Programming $ 5,000.00 2. Permit Expediting: This work will include meeting with jurisdictional authorities and follow-up administration to reduce the typical permitting time. Permit Expediting $ 7,500.00 3. Threshold Inspections: As required by the Florida Building Code. Reimbursable expenses as an agent for the City (Surveying, Geotechnical, Flow Test, Underground Utility Verification) Reimbursable Expenses (Not to Exceed) $ 15,000.00 D. Reproduction (Printing Cost and Courier Services) Reimbursable Expenses (Not to Exceed) $ 10,000.00 E. Exclusions The above listed fees do not include the following: 1. Park areas beyond the scope of work shown in the conceptual plans attached. 2. Environmental Studies We are extremely excited about this project and are ready to begin work immediately.
