HomeMy WebLinkAboutnotice for bidsINVITATION TO BID NO. 04-05-011 NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed bids will be received by the City of Miami, Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 1st Floor, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida 33133-5504, until 10:00 A.M. on January 18 th, 2005 for: ALLAPATTAH STREET IMPROVEMENTS, B-40702 Bids Due: 10:00 A.M., January 18th , 2005 Scope of Work: The work specified in this bid consists of furnishing all labor, machinery, tools, means of transportation, supplies, equipment, materials, services necessary for the milling and resurfacing of the roadways bounded by NW 10th Avenue, NW 17th Avenue, NW 37th Street and NW 39th Street. The street improvements also include signage, pavement striping, curb, swale block, and ADA ramp installation. Minimum Requirements: Prospective Bidder shall hold a current certified license as a General Contractor (with roadway experience) from the State of Florida and must have a minimum of 5 years experience( with projects of similar size and scope and provide at least eight (8) separate project references for projects of ($3,000,000.00) three million dollars or higher in construction work. A PreBid Conference will be held on Tuesday, January 4th 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at the City of Miami Riverside Building, 10th Floor (Main Conference Room - City Manager's Office), 444 SW 2"d Avenue, Miami, Florida 33130. Attendance at the Pre -Bid Meeting is not mandatory, but is strongly recommended. Bid packages containing complete instructions, plans and specifications may be obtained at the Department of Capital Improvements, 444 S.W. 2nd Avenue, 8th Floor, Miami, Florida 33130, Telephone (305) 416-1255 on or after December 17th, 2004. Bid packages will be available in hard copy form only. Non-refundable fees for bid packages are $50. A bid package can also be mailed to bidders upon written request to the Department, and shall include the appropriate non-refundable fee plus $10 for shipping and handling using regular U.S. Mail. All bids shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bids must be submitted in duplicate originals in the envelopes provided. At the time, date, and place above, bids will be publicly opened. Any bids or proposals received after time and date specified will be returned to the bidder unopened. The responsibility for submitting a bid/proposal before the stated time and date is solely and strictly the responsibility of the bidder/proposer. The city is not responsible for delays caused by mail, courier service, including U.S. Mail, or any other occurrence.
