A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION ACCEPTING A GRANT
FROM THE MIAMI-DADE COUNTY OFFICE OF AMERICAN DISABILITIES
ASSOCIATION COORDINATION, IN THE AMOUNT OF $37,444.49; ALLOCATING
SAID FUNDS, IN AN AMOUNT OF $24,846.49 FOR THE PURCHASE OF A
FOURTEEN (14) PASSENGER, WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE MINIBUS, AND
ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF $12,598 TOWARDS PROGRAM EXPENSES
FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION DISABILITIES
DIVISION'S NINE -WEEK SUMMER CAMP; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ACCEPT SAID GRANT AND TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS
FOR SAID PURPOSE; APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS INTO THE CITY OF MIAMI
PROGRAMS FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ACCOUNT NO. 110112.058078

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Miami City Commission accepts a grant from the Miami -Dade County Office of
American Disabilities Association Coordination, in the amount of $37,444.49, allocates funds in an
amount of $24,846.49 for the purchase of a fourteen (14) passenger, wheelchair accessible minibus
and allocates the amount of $12,598 towards program expenses for the Department of Parks and
Recreation Disabilities Division's nine -week summer camp.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1 } to accept said grant and to execute the necessary
documents for said purpose.
Section 3, Said funds are appropriated into the City of Miami programs for Persons with
Disabilities Account No. 110112.058078.4.506.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{2}

Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
