Our objective is to expand offerings for persons with disabilities by eliminating physical and communication barriers. In previous years, we have applied funding from the Miami-Dadle: County A.D.A. Office towards installing handicapped accessible lifts, aqua wheelchairs, playground equipment, constructing accessible walkways in our parks, and increasing the number of handicapped parking spaces. The City encourages diversity and inclusion on all levels. The summer camp and minibus will allow individuals with disabilities to participate fully in recreational life. I look forward to a positive response from the Office of A.D.A. Coordination as it reviews the grant proposal from the City of Miami. _ St Co& Arriola ty Manager Attachments: Proposal, Progress Report, Committee Roster and Minutes cc: Ernest Burkeen, Director, Parks and Recreation Robert Ruano, Grants Administrator Patrice NovaI, Safety/ADA Coordinator Marcia Spevak Breiter, Program Coordinator, Parks and Recreation
