Thompson City Clerk Date: February 1, 2005 Subject: Equal Opportunity Advisory Board References: February 10, 2005 Agenda Enclosures: List of members The Equal Opportunity Advisory Board was created to review and recommend to the City Commission the adoption of amendments/revisions to the City's affirmative action plan. The board also reviews employment policies and practices of the City and makes recommendations to the Department of Human Resources. All members' terms expire on February 8, 2005: • Vice Chairman Gonzalez has two nominations: 1. Albena Sumner 2. Miriam Urra, who has exceeded the number of absences allowed per City Code. • Commissioner Winton has two nominations: 1. Yvonne Mc Donald 2. Patrick Range, Jr., who has exceeded the number of absences allowed per City Code. • Chairman Sanchez has two nominations: 1. Raul Dominguez, who has exceeded the number of absences allowed per City Code. 2. Sam Mason, who has exceeded the number of absences allowed per City Code. • Commissioner Regalado has two nominations: 1. John Jones, who has exceeded the number of absences allowed per City Code. 2. Anthony Cantey, who has exceeded the number of absences allowed per City Code. • Commissioner Allen has two nominations: 1. Charles J. Flowers 2. Charles Cutler, who has exceeded the number of absences allowed per City Code. • The Commission At -Large is requested to confirm the following representatives of City employees bargaining organizations: 1. Henry S. Harrison, nominated by Miami Association of Fire Fighters 2. Maria V. Bao, nominated by AFSCME, Local 1907 3. Viona Brown, nominated by Fraternal Order of Police 4. Shad Fields, nominated by AFSCME, Local 871 REVISED For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting the Agenda Office to place this issue on the February 10, 2005 Commission agenda.
