HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolutionCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.ci.miami.fl.us File Number: 05-00041 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONS WITH AIDS PROGRAM FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $63,000, FROM MOVERS, INC., FOR THE OPERATING SUPPORT OF LIFEQUEST I AND II AND THE AMOUNT OF $80,500, FROM MOVERS, INC., FOR THE OPERATING SUPPORT OF SUGAR HILL PROPERTIES, FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF $143,500; ALLOCATING SAID FUNDS TO THE CITY OF MIAMI LONG TERM RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 04-0444, adopted July 8, 2004, the amount of $63,000, for the operating support of Life Quest I and II and the amount of $80,500, for the operating support of Sugar Hill Properties were allocated to MOVERS, Inc.; and WHEREAS, due to a feasibility issue, said funds will not be utilized under project based funding at this time; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 04-0377, adopted June 10, 2004, the allocation of Fiscal Year 2004-2005 Housing Opportunities for Persons With Aids ("HOPWA") funds were approved to provide housing assistance and housing related services; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The transfer of HOPWA program funds, in the amount of $63,000, from Movers, Inc., for the operating support of Life Quest I and II and the amount of $80,500, from Movers, Inc., for the operating support of Sugar Hill Properties, for a total amount of $143,500, and the allocation of said funds to the City of Miami Long Term Rental Assistance Program, is authorized. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor {1). APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS:t' JORGE L.
