Purpose of Item: The language stated in Resolution 04-0003, adopted January 8, 2004, ommitted the terms of the maintenance of the medians along Brickell Avenue for a one year period with option to renew for two additional one year periods. This language was part of the Proposal and contract document specifications. Background Information: The City is responsible for the maintenance of the medians and the irrigation system along Brickell Avenue between SE 5 Street and SE 26 Road, the swales on Point View and the irrigation systems located along Brickell Avenue, Brickell Bay Drive and SE 25 Road. Resolution R-04-0003 awarded an annual contract to South Florida Maintenance Services, Inc., in an annual amount of $122,676.30. The award resolution 04-0003 did not include language addressing the option to renew for two additional one year periods. This item will amend Resolution 04-0003 by including the terms of the contract to be a one year period with the option to renew for two additional one year periods, as stated in the bid proposal and contract documents.
