N/A. Consideration of an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 11000, as amended, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Miami, by amending Article 11, Section 1102. Nonconforming Lots, in order to modify language pertaining to exceptions to the division of Contiguous Nonconforming Lots under the same ownership; containing a repealer provision and severability clause; and providing for an effective date. Approval. The proposed amendment is in order to allow additional flexibility in dealing with nonconforming lots within R-1 or R-2 zoning districts. The amendment allows for use of such lots in common ownership separately, even though nonconforming, by Class II Special Permit, if the existing character of the Tots in the neighborhood is the same as is being requested. For the purpose of this amendment, the area is defined as the area within a 1000 foot radius of the subject property. This amendment will help preserve neighborhood character better than the existing provisions because it provides for a definition. 04-01283 Recommended approval to VOTE: 7-0 City Commission.
