DATE:

SUBJECT: Large Scale Development
The Miami -Dade Water and Sewer Department comments and recommendations are as follows:
River Front West

Water
Connect to an existing sixteen (16)-in. w.rr. in SW 1 Ave. and SW 3 St. and extend a twelve
(12)-in. vv.rn. easterly in SW 3 St. to NE corner of the property. In case a proposed twelve
(12)-in. w.m. is installed by the project located to the east of this property in SW 3 St., the
proposed twelve (12)-in. w.m. by this project shall be inter -connected to said water main. Any
public w.rn. extension within the property shall be twelve (12)-in. min. in diameter with two
(2) points of connection and the system shall be looped, in order to avoid dead end maims.
Existing water andior sewer mains within the property, if in conflict with the proposed
development must be removed and relocated. Cutting and plugging of existing mains shall be
done by M-DWASD's forces at owner's expense. Easements associated with mains to be
removed shall be closed and vacated before starting construction. Existing fire hydrants
associated with mains to be removed and relocated shall be relocated as per Fire Dept.
recommendations.
Sewer
The gravity sewer paint of connection information for this development and the size of the
required gravity sewer mains in public right of way are subject to an engineering analysis to be
conducted by the M-DWASD at the time a request for connection is sent to the Department,
due to existing available capacity concerns in the area of the City of Miami.
GENERAL NOTES:
The size of the required water mains will depend upon the subject property's approved zoning, being
twelve (12)-in. min. in diameter required for high density residential, commercial, business,
industrial, hospitals, public building, etc. and eight (8)-in. min. in diameter required for low and
medium density residential zonings.
Please note that improvements to the sewage pump station (s) receiving the flow from the project
maybe required based on the project's sewage flow to be discharged into M-DWASD's system at
the time a request is sent to the M-DWASD.
