ADDENDUM "No. 2" June 24, 2002
The following Amendments to the Specifications and Drawings are now in effect and are to be
complied with as a part of the original Contract Documents on the project. Drawings and Specifications
not specifically mentioned in this Addendum are not altered by any changes, amendments, deletions or
additions.
1. The following forms are required for submittal as the Bid Package:
a. "Bid Form"
b. "List of Subcontractors"
c. "Minority/Women Business Affairs Registration Affidavit"
d. "Statement of Compliance with Ordinance No. 10032"
e. "Non -Collusion Affidavit of Prime Bidder"
f. "City of Miami Primary Office Location Affidavit"
g. "Bid Bond"
h. "Performance Bond"
2. Estimated date of completion for this project is September 15, 20002.
3. Liquidated damages / completion time penalties are not applicable to this contract.
4. Delete in its entirety Section "00800 - Supplementary Conditions" and substitute the following
Section "00800 - Supplementary Conditions"
00800 SUPPLEMENTARY CONDITIONS
00801 DEFINITION, CORRELATION AND STANDARD CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
MADE A PART OF THESE SPECIFICATIONS
(A) DEFINITION
The purpose of this Division is to provide Coverage for all conditions applicable to this
Contract, where such coverage is not provided for in other portions of the Contract
Documents.

In case of any conflict with the provisions of other portions of the Contract Documents,
the most stringent provisions will prevail, unless amended in addenda issued subsequent
to publication of these Contract Documents or as determined by the City Engineer.
The Construction Engineer is the authorized representative of the Director of Public
Work acting under the right and authority as defined in 6-5 AUTHORITY ENGINEER,
SECTION OF DIVISION I, STANDARD CONTRACT DOCUMENTS LATEST
EDITIONS.
(B) CORRELATION OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
The Contract Documents are complimentary, and what is called for by any one shall be
as binding as if called for by all.
(C) STANDARD CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS MADE A PART
OF THESE SPECIFICATIONS
The Division 1 — General Conditions of the "Standard Contract Documents and
Specifications for Public Works Projects — October 2001 Edition" including. latest
revisions in its entirety, is hereby, made a part of these Specifications and the Contract
pertaining thereto, to the same extent as if herein written out in full.
00802 DESCRIPTION OF PLANS
The Construction Documents for this project consist of the drawings and specifications
under project name "City of Miami Commission Chambers". 1). Lighting & Dimming
System.
All inquiries or questions concerning the project are to be in writing and faxed to Jorge
R. Avino, PE, PLS Assistant Director of Public Works, Fax (305) 426-2153, City of
Miami.
00803 DESCRIPTION OF WORK AND LOCATION
(A) DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK
The work is to include, but necessarily limited to, all incidental, direct and indirect costs
and including mobilization, bonding, insurance, overhead and profit necessary to
complete the work as specified on plans.

(B) LOCATION OF THE WORK
The proposed location of the construction is at the City of Miami Commission
Chambers, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida
00804 ADDITIONAL AND REVISIONS TO INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS
Any work not specifically mentioned in the payment Items listed in the proposal, but
indicated on the plans and/or specifications shall be considered, as incidental to one or
more of the payment items, and no claim or additional compensation will be allowed.
The bidder shall not add to the listed item nor combine any of the items.
6. Deiete in its entirety Section "01310 — Construction Schedules", Paragraph "1.04 Content of
Schedules", Subparagraphs: "C 1., 2., and 3." and substitute the following Paragraph "1.04 Content of
Schedules", Subparagraph: "C 1.:
C. "The Contractor, Architect and Owner's representative will meet to determine final projected
construction schedule.
1. At start of the Work, Contractor will have the portions of the building designated for
construction."
