HomeMy WebLinkAboutFact SheetPOLICE AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY FACT SHEET Increase in the contract with A+ Mini Storage for a secured, air-conditioned storage facility JUSTIFICATION: The Department of Police is requesting an increase in the contract for a secured, air-conditioned self -storage facility in order to accommodate the additional needs of departmental units for the storage of records. The department must retain records pursuant to Florida State law. Due to space and safety constraints not all the vast volumes of records can be stored within the department's building. This storage facility is also utilized to store miscellaneous equipment and supplies. HOW IS THIS ITEM GOING TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF SERVICE TO THE CUSTOMER / CITIZENS? Better record management.
