Increase in the contract with A+ Mini Storage for a secured, air-conditioned storage facility
JUSTIFICATION:
The Department of Police is requesting an increase in the contract for a secured, air-conditioned
self -storage facility in order to accommodate the additional needs of departmental units for the
storage of records. The department must retain records pursuant to Florida State law. Due to
space and safety constraints not all the vast volumes of records can be stored within the
department's building. This storage facility is also utilized to store miscellaneous equipment and
supplies.

An increase in the contract awarded to A+ Mini Storage, pursuant to Resolution No. 02-140,
adopted February 14, 2002, amended by Resolution No. 04-0060, adopted on January 14, 2004,
in an not to exceed $10,000, from $50,000 to $60,000, for additional storage needs, is authorized,
with funds allocated from the Police General Operating Budget, Account Code No.
001000.290201.6. 610.
