As a result of the timeline established by the Miami -Dade County Elections Department, this issue is time -sensitive. After consulting with the City Attorney's Office, I respectfully submit the following two ballot question options for your review: Shall the Miami -Dade County Charter be changed to allow Miami -Dade County to elect its Tax Assessor, rather than providing for the County Manager to have the power to appoint and suspend the Tax Assessor? Or Shall the voters of Miami -Dade County Charter elect its Tax Assessor instead of the County Manager of Miami -Dade County appointing the Tax Assessor? Cc: The Honorable Manuel A.
