A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION ADOPTING THE PLANNING
CALENDAR FOR THE 31ST YEAR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
PROGRAM AND OTHER PROGRAMS FUNDED THROUGH THE UNITED
STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT AS STATED
HEREIN.
WHEREAS, the Administration has proposed the planning calendar for the 31 st year Community
Development Block Grant ("CDBG") program and other programs funded through the United States
Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD");
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The planning calendar for the 31st year CDBG program and other programs funded
through HUD is adopted as follows:
January 13, 2005 Calendar approval by the City Commission
January 24, 2005- February 4, 2005 At least one public hearing in each of the five City
Commission districts, and any other supplemental
hearings required (contingent upon the schedules
of each City Commissioner) (Note: There is a 10
business day public notice requirement for each
public hearing)
February 10, 2005
February 18, 2005
March 25, 2005
Policy decision by the City Commission
31st year Request for Proposals Available
Deadline for submissions of responses to
Requests for Proposals (Note: Proposals submitted
after the due date will not be accepted)
To be Determined (Meeting must be Special City Commission meeting allocating 31st
held between June 9, 2005 - June 23, year funds must be held between June 9,
2005) 2005 - June 23, 2005 to allow the preparation of
the Annual Action Plan and time for the 30 day
public comment period prior to the August 15,
2005 submission deadline for HUD

Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1}

{1 } If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
