A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
CODESIGNATING SOUTHWEST 15T STREET, FROM
SOUTHWEST 22111' AVENUE TO SOUTHWEST 18TH COURT,
AS CALLE GERARDO TUg N"; FURTHER DIRECTING
THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK
TO TRANSMIT A COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION TO THE
DESIGNATED OFFICES HEREIN.
WHEREAS, the Miami Codesignation Review Committee at its
meeting of September 19, 2001, reviewed and recommended a
proposal for the codesignation of Southwest 1st Street, from
Southwest 22nd Avenue to Southwest 18th Court, as Calle Gerardo
Tunon" to honor a successful businessman who served the community
by participating in numerous charitable organizations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings set forth in the
Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and
incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Southwest 1st Street, from Southwest 22nd
Avenue to Southwest 18th Court, is codesignated as Calle Gerardo
Tunon " .

Section 3. The City Manager is directed to i.nstruLt the
Director of Public Works to transmit a copy of this resolution to
the City of Miami Departments of Police, Fire -Rescue, General
Services Administration and Solid Waste, the Miami -Dade County
Department of Public Works and United States Postal Service.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.1/

If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at
the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If
the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately
upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
