The "Christmas" movies have been the largest cinema successes in Italy since the mid 90's. Italian stars Massimo Bold' and Christian De Slca team up each year, as they bring a different international city to their fans, making the "Christmas" franchise a staple of the Italian Holidays. During their tenure in Miami, Filmauro will be prepping and shooting the movie In Its entirety in the South Florida area, beginning principal photography mid August with completion scheduled for early October. While some post -production will begin in Miami, the movie will be completed in Rome, and released by December 2005. As you may expect, the local film commissions and tourist offices were quite eager to have Filmauro choose Miami as it's 'city of choice" this year. Additionally, the many film employee union organizations are also excited for our project. Not only will 85% of our cast and crew be South Floridians, but Filmauro has chosen to work during our now famous Hurricane Season: a time which is normally slower for production in Miami. Filmauro is helmed by Aurelio De Laurentiis, De Laurentiis was Executive Producer of last years' feature film 'Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow' and has an extensive list of film credits to his name. "Christmas In Miami" is being produced by long time DeLaurentlls associate Maurizio Amati and Luigi De Laurentiis. Miami's own Katie Carmichael Is functioning as the local Producer and has been associated with previous Filmauro productions. Mr. Amati has been involved with the BoldiwDe Sica productions since 1990. At this time, Filmauro would like to make a special request of the City of Miami. We have two scenes that require night filming in residential neighborhoods. We are asking for a variance of the noise ordinance in order to film during these hours, Our specific requests are as follows: Request 1: Location: B04 NW 7th Street Road Miami Date: On or about August 30 — September 3rd (3 nights total) Hours: 7pm — 9am Request 2; Location: 1121 North Venetian Way Miami, Florida Date: On or about October 2" d & 3rd (2 nights) Hours: 7pm — 9am Please note that the aforementioned dates are subject to change as our production calendar is finalized. Unfortunately, it is the nature of our industry to have last minute changes due to illness, weather or equipment malfunctions. We request that the City Commission allow us some flexibility with regard to these specific dates. Thanking you in advance for your diligent consideration. itufl'ey-Hallebo Location Manager Cc: City of Miami Mayor's Office of Film, Art & Entertainment
