Third Street Miami, Florida 33132 Phone (305) 373.6789 Fax t 3051 371-9451 www mi miiporking, corn As a follow-up to our meeting in November regarding the new Miami Resident Vehicular Protection Program (MVP), we are pleased to announce that we are moving forward with the program and plan to implement it beginning February 1, 2005. A press release is being prepared that will be sent to various mega outlets on that day, us well. I have also attached a sample application for your review. As you know, the MVP Program will allow residents of the City of Mimi to register their vehicles and park in an assigned Miami Parking Authority (MPA) garage during a hurricane or natural disaster at no cost. Residents will be able to register on-line at our website (www.riam;iparking cam) or download an application and send it to us directly. In return, once the application is completed, we will issue them a decal that they will display to enter an MPA garage once a hurricane watch is issued. Ow current plan is to follow-up this letter to you with a supply of applications for each of the NET offices. Please let us know how many applications you would like us to send to you for distribution. Residents can pick up the application at your offices and send it to us directly. The NET offices will function as another point of contact and service for implementation of the MVP Program. In addition, if you have computer access at the NET offices, residents can fill out the application on-line or download the application at your offices, as well, and further expedite the process. We will be creating some additional collateral material to advertise this new service, as well as promote the MVP Program more fully as hurricane season approaches. We appreciate the NET's assistance in getting the word out regarding the MVP program and for helping us to disseminate information and applications.
