Re: Transmittal of proposed Urban Central Business District Ordinance
Dear Mr. Wilburn:
10E ARRIOLA
City Manager
Please find enclosed the City of Miami's proposed Urban Central Business District ordinance. This
ordinance is being transmitted in accordance with Rule 28-24.014(10), F.A.C. to determine consistency
with the criteria of this rule prior to final adoption by the Miami City Commission.
The proposed ordinance will establish an Urban Central Business District within the City of Miami in
order to increase the development of regional impact threshold within the Downtown Miami Master Plan
area. The proposed Urban Central Business District boundary is identical to that of the Downtown Miami
Master Plan.
The proposed ordinance was approved by the Planning Advisory Board on September 1, 2004 and City
Commission l' Reading on October 28, 2004. Once this ordinance is adopted, the City will follow up
with a companion amendment to the Comprehensive Plan in order to incorporate Goals, Objectives and
Policies as necessary. Please direct any requests or additional information to Lourdes Slazyk, Assistant
Director, at 305-416-1412.
