2. Purpose of Item:
To provide ongoing support to various departments for staff development programs to
supplement programs provided internally to ensure a well coordinated, dynamic program
to effectively address the extensive training needs of employees on a City-wide basis
3. History of Item:
The Department of Employee Relations conducted a strategic analysis of training needs
to provide ongoing Citywide support to various departments' needs for staff
development. Florida International University Metropolitan Center is prepared to
provide Citywide employee training in the areas such as, but not limited to. technical job
skills training and development
