Pursuant to Section 401, Article 4 of Ordinance 11000, as amended, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Miami, Florida, the subject proposal to allow solid waste drop off facility use in a G/I "Government and Institutional" zoned has been reviewed as follows: NOTE: The Special Exception for the solid waste drop off facility requires City Commission approval The following findings have been made: • It is found that the proposed solid waste drop off facility is located in a G/1 "Govern- ment Institutional", which allows for this type uses subject to a special exception with City Commission approval. • It is found that the solid waste drop off facility will serve a necessary function in the City of Miami. • It is found that the proposed project as presented will not have any adverse effect to the area. • It is found that as presented, the project is appropriate in scale and character with the surrounding area. • It is found with respect to all additional criteria as specified on Section 1305 of Zoning Ordinance 11000, the proposal has been review and found to the adequate. Based on these findings, the Planning and Zoning Department is recommending approval of the application as presented.
