Title and brief description of legislation or attach ordinance/resolution: This Resolution establishes a new special revenue fund entitled: AED/State of Florida EMS Grant M4067 (FY 2004)," to support the pre -hospital activities and other emergencv medical services items, and appropriating funds for the operation of same, in the amount of $203,000, consisting of a grant, in the amount of $152,250, from the State of Florida Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services ("EMS"), with matching funds, in the amount of $50,750, allocated from the City of Miami Operating Budget, Account Code No. 001000.921002.6.270. In an effort to increase survivability from sudden cardiac arrest, accepting this grant will allow the City of Miami to use these funds as stipulated by said grant to purchase additional AEDs and accessories to be placed in approximately 100 City of Miami Police patrol vehicles. 8.
