A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO. 01-979, ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 25, 2001, WHICH AWARDED A BID
AWARDED TO SOUTH FLORIDA MAINTENANCE SERVICES, FOR THE
PROVISION OF GROUNDS MAINTENANCE SERVICES AT THE MIAMI
RIVERSIDE CENTER, TO CHANGE THE BID TO A CITYWIDE BID FOR THE
DEPARTMENT OF PURCHASING; ALLOWING OTHER DEPARTMENTS AND
AGENCIES TO UTILIZE THE CONTRACT, PURSUANT TO SECTION 3.32 OF BID
NO. 00-01-171; ALLOWING THE ADDITION OF NEW FACILITIES AND
INCREASES TO THE ANNUAL AMOUNT AS NEEDED, SUBJECT TO
BUDGETARY APPROVAL, AND AS ALLOWED BY CONDITIONS OF THE BID;
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 01-979, TO REFLECT SAID CHANGES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Resolution No. 01-979, adopted September 25, 2001, relating to the bid awarded to
South Florida Maintenance Services, for the provision of grounds maintenance services at The Miami
Riverside Center, for The Department of General Services Administration, is amended in the following
particulars:{1}

Section 1. The bid of South Florida Maintenance Services, Inc., the lowest
responsive and responsible bidder pursuant to Invitation for Bids No. 00-01-071,
dated June 11, 2001, for the provision of grounds maintenance services at tho Mimi -
various city facilities for the Department of
Purchasing to be utilized by various user departments and agencies,
on a contract basis for a period of two years, with the option to renew for two
additional one year periods, in an annual amount not to exceed $16,794, is accepted,
with funds allocated from General Services Administration, Miami Riverside Division,
Account Code No. 504000.421901.6.670 , subject to availability of funds.

Section 2. Funds for increase for the addition of new facilities as needed, and as allowed by
conditions of the bid in Section 3.32, subject to budgetary approval, are allocated from the operating
budgets of the various user departments and agencies.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of

{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
