A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
ACCEPTING THE BID OF SOUTH FLORIDA MAINTENANCE
SERVICES, INC., THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE AND
RESPONSIBLE BIDDER PURSUANT TO INVITATION FOR
BIDS NO. 00-01-071, DATED JUNE 11, 2001, FOR
THE PROVISION OF GROUNDS MAINTENANCE SERVICES
AT THE MIAMI RIVERSIDE CENTER, FOR THE
DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION
ON A CONTRACT BASIS FOR A PERIOD OF TWO YEARS,
WITH THE OPTION TO RENEW FOR TWO ADDITIONAL
ONCE -YEAR PERIODS, IN AN ANNUAL AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $16,794; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM GENERAL
SERVICES ADMINISTRATION, MIAMI RIVERSIDE
DIVISION, ACCOUNT CODE NO. 504000.421901.6.670,
SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid of South Florida Maintenance
Services, Inc., the lowest responsive and responsible
bidder pursuant to Invitation for Bids No. 00-01-071, dated
June 11, 2001, for the provision of grounds maintenance services
at the Miami Riverside Center, for the Department of General
Services Administration on a contract basis for a period of two
years, with the option to renew for two additional one-year

periods, in an annual amount not to exceed $16,794, is aca. ,
with funds allocated from General Services Administration, Miami
Riverside Division, Account Code No. 504000.421901.6.670, subiect
to availability of funds.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective,
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.1'

If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at
the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If
the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately
upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
