On September 13, 2004, Ms. Gloria Velazquez, Greenberg Traurig, and Mr. Michael Proto presented "Reflections on the River", which would require a land use and zoning amendment from Marine Industrial (SD-4) to Commercial with an SD-7 Zoning overlay, located at 201-261 SW 6 ST. The MRC unanimously found the proposal to be consistent with the award winning Miami River Corridor Urban Infidel Plan's recommendations for this "lower river" section, located to the east of I-95. In addition, the MRC unanimously found the proposal to be consistent with the Miami River Greenway Action Plan, in that it provides a publicly accessible riverwalk, with a minimum width of 20 feet, consisting of a minimum 16-foot wide unobstructed pedestrian path, an additional 4-feet of landscaping, lighting and other amenities, the development is set -back 50-feet from the shoreline and features an `on -road' greenway section along SW 6 ST.
