1. Subject: Transferring CDBG funds from Capital Improvements Projects ("CIP") to City
of Miami Department of Off -Street Parking
2. Purpose of item: Funds to be utilized for the construction costs needed to meet Americans
with Disabilities Act ("ADA") requirements for the Gusman Theatre for the Performing
Arts.
3. History of item:
On July 8, 2002, the City Commission adopted Resolution 02-773 which allocated
$750,000 to Downtown Development Authority for Flagler Marketplace Project. Said
funds were later transferred to City of Miami Department of Capital Improvements
Projects (CIP) on June 12, 2003 when the City Commission adopted Resolution 03-
670 for projects in the Downtown area.
City of Miami Department of Off- Street Parking has requested said funds to comply
with ADA requirements for the Gusman Theatre for the Performing Arts,

compliance with the City's Consolidated Plan approved by HUD.

item will ensure that the Gusman Center meets ADA compliance allowing citywide
