HomeMy WebLinkAboutpre resolutionDEC-17-2003 09:50 C1TY CLERKS OFF ICE 305 B5B 1610 P.02 City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-03-1086 City Hail 3500 Pon American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.ci.miami.fl.us File Number: 03.0017 Mai Action Date:10/9/2003 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, WITH THE FOUNDATION OF COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE AND LEADERSHIP, INC., TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE AFTER -SCHOOL TUTUORING, COUNSELING AND COMPUTER EDUCATIONAL SERVICES FOR AT -RISK YOUTH AT THE CITY OF MIAMI'S MOORE PARK, FOR THE CONTRACT PERIOD COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 2003 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2004, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $115,452; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM NON -DEPARTMENTAL ACCOUNT NO. 001000.921002.6.930 FOR FISCAL YEAR 2003-2004. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute an Agreement, in substantially the attached form, with the Foundation of Community Assistance and Leadership, Inc., to continue to provide after -school tutoring, counseling, and computer educational services for at -risk youth at the City of Miami's Moore Park, for the contract period commencing October 1, 2003 through September 30, 2004, in an amount not to exceed $115,452, with funds allocated from Non -Departmental Account No. 001000.921002.6.930 for fiscal year 2003-2004. Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon Its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} Poo tnote s (1} The herein authorization Is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code provisions. {2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. if the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission, CIO' of Miami Page 1 of 1 Printed On: 11/4a 003
