A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 1,
IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, TO THE REVOCABLE LICENSE
AGREEMENT ("AGREEMENT") BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI AND MIAMI
OVERSEAS CHINESE ASSOCIATION ("LICENSEE"), TO PROVIDE FOR
LICENSEE'S CONTINUED USE OF BAY 6 AT THE CITY OF MIAMI OWNED
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1101 NORTHWEST SOUTH RIVER DRIVE, MIAMI,
FLORIDA, FORA SIX-MONTH PERIOD COMMENCING NOVEMBER 1, 2004,
EXPIRING MARCH 31, 2005, UNDER THE SAME TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF
SAID AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") is the owner of certain real property and improvements
located at 1101 Northwest South River Drive, Miami, Florida, ("Property"); and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 04-0070, adopted February 12, 2004, authorized the City Manager to
execute a Revocable License Agreement ("Agreement") between the City and Miami Overseas
Chinese Association ("Licensee"), for use of a portion of the Property to store dragon boats and
related equipment for a term of six months that will expire on October 31, 2004; and
WHEREAS, the City and Licensee have agreed to extend the term of the Agreement with respect
to the use of Bay 6 at the Property for an additional six-month period commencing November 1,
2004, under the same terms and conditions of said Agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute Amendment No. 1, in substantially the
attached form, to the Agreement between the City and the Licensee, to provide for Licensee's
continued use of Bay 6 at the City -owned Property, for a six-month period commencing November 1,
2004, expiring March 31, 2005, under the same terms and conditions of said Agreement.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{2}

{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
