Background of Item: Pursuant, to the Resolution No. 23-0391, adopted on September 14, 2023, the Miami City Commission approved the allocation of Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") in the economic development category funds for Fiscal Year ("FY") 2023-24 in the amount of $2,876,229.90, which included and amount of $1,671,089.00 to the Department of Housing and Community Development to be allocated at a later date. There is a need to allocate a portion of these funds to the Department of Resilience and Public Works to be utilized in street, drainage, and/or any other CDBG-eligible improvements in District 2. The City's Administration recommends the transfer of CDBG unallocated District 2 funds, in the economic development category from FY 2023-24, in the amount of $443,802.00 to the Department of Resilience and Public Works for street, drainage, and/or any other CDBG-eligible improvements , as described in Exhibit "A', attached, and incorporated. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The transfer of CDBG unallocated District 2 funds in the economic development category from FY 2023-2024 in the amount of $443,802.00 to Public Works for street, drainage, and/or any other CDBG-eligible improvements, is authorized.' 1 The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all legal requirements that may be imposed, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code provisions. Section 3. The City Manager is authorized' to negotiate and execute any and all necessary documents, including amendments, extensions, and modifications, all in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, subject to all federal, state and local laws. Section 4.
