File No. 15461 At its February 8, 2024, meeting, the City Commission adopted the above referenced agenda item, RE.4, authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute a Lease Agreement, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, between the City of Miami ("City") and Coral Way Investments, Inc. ("Lessor"), for use of office space located at 2100 Southwest 22nd Street, Suite 300, Miami, Florida; and to negotiate and execute any and all documents, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, including any amendments, renewals, extensions, and modifications subject to allocations, appropriations, prior budgetary approvals, compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, as may be deemed necessary for said purpose. ("Lessor"), providing for the use of two thousand square feet (2,000 sq. ft.), and has negotiated a rental rate for the use and occupancy of office space located at 2100 SW 22nd Street, Suite 300, Miami, Florida ("Property"), at a rate of twenty-nine dollars ($29.00) per square foot on an annual basis; and WHEREAS, the City and Lessor wish to enter into a Lease Agreement to secure use of the Property for the US&R. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Manager is authorized {1} to negotiate and execute the Agreement, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, between the City and Lessor, for use of office space located at 2100 SW 22nd Street, Suite 300, Miami, Florida, with terms and conditions as more specifically set forth in said Lease Agreement. Section 3. The City Manager is further authorized 1 to negotiate and execute any and all documents, including any amendments, renewals, extensions, and modifications subject to allocations, appropriations, prior budgetary approvals, compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, as may be deemed necessary for said purpose. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor 2. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City.
