Pursuant to the Department of Justice regulations of the GREAT Grant
award recently made to the City of Miami Police Department, each grantee
that receives $25,000 or more and has 50 or more employees is required to
maintain an Equal Employment Opportunity Plan (EEOP) on file for review
by the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) upon request. We are also requested to
submit a Certification Form.
Enclosed you will find an executed Certification Form, as well as a copy of a
letter dated September 23, 2004, from Mr. Michael L. Alston, Director of the
Office for Civil Rights, advising us that our recently submitted Equal
Employment Opportunity Plan (EEOP) had been reviewed and approved by
the Office for Civil Rights.
