HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-04-0711City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-04-0711 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 04-01230 Final Action Date: 10/28/2004 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION ESTABLISHING A NEW SPECIAL REVENUE FUND ENTITLED: "GANG RESISTANCE EDUCATION AND TRAINING (G.R.E.A.T)" PROGRAM, FOR THE PURPOSE OF EDUCATING THE YOUTH OF OUR COMMUNITY ON THE DANGERS OF GANG INVOLVEMENT, CONSISTING OF A GRANT FROM THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, OFFICE OF JUSTICE PROGRAMS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $85,000; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS TO IMPLEMENT ACCEPTANCE OF SAID GRANT. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The following new Special Revenue Fund is established and resources are appropriated as described below: FUND TITLE: GANG RESISTANCE EDUCATION AND TRAINING (G.R.E.A.T.) PROGRAM RESOURCES: UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE $85,000 OFFICE OF JUSTICE PROGRAMS APPROPRIATIONS: $85,000 Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute the necessary documents to implement acceptance of said grant. Section 3. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall acome effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
