RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution, with Attachment,
transferring 26t'' Year Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds in an amount not to exceed
$150,000 from The Alternative Programs, Inc. to City of Miami Off -Street Parking Authority for
acquisition and/or development of a near -by property to be developed as a public parking lot.
BACKGROUND:
On May 6, 2004, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. R-04-0313, allocating 26th Year CDBG
funds in an amount not to exceed $150,000 to The Alternative Programs, Inc. for the acquisition and/or
development of a near -by property in the area of 151 NW 60 Street to be developed as a public parking
lot.
Said agency notified the City of Miami that they would prefer if the City completed the project.
As the City's designated parking authority, City of Miami Off -Street Parking Authority posseses the
expertise to deliver quality parking facilities in a timely and cost effective manner.
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution, with Attachment, transferring
26t" Year CDBG funds in an amount not to exceed $150,000 from The Alternative Programs, Inc. and
allocating said funds to City of Miami Off -Street Parking Authority for acquisition and/or development of
a near by property in the area of 151 NW 60 Street to be developed as a public parking lot.
The p t osed Resolution does not have a budgetary impact on the General Fund.
