THIS PLATFORM WILL PROVIDE A HIGH PROFILE PHYSICAL PRESENCE AND EXCELLENT OBSERVATION POINT FOR AND OFFICER WORKING THE EVENT/INCIDENT. THE PLATFORM WILL BE EQUIPPED WITH SPOTLIGHTS, REGULAR AND THERMAL VIDEO CAMERAS, AND AIR CONDITIONING. THE PLATFORM WILL RISE APPROXIMATELY 24 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND. IT IS TRAILER MOUNTED WITH A HYDRAULIC LIFT MECHANISM AND GENERATOR. HOW IS THIS ITEM GOING TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF SERVICE TO THE CUSTOMER / CITIZENS? STARTING AT 1:00 P.M., AT S.W. 22ND AVE. AND 10.Th ST. RD., DEPUTY CHIEF FRANK FERNANDEZ AND REPRESENTATIVES OF SKY WATCH WILL DEMONSTRATE THIS UNIQUE MOBILE SURVEILLANCE TOWER. Hundreds of thousands of revelers came to the party, which stretched about a mile from Fourth to 27th Avenues on Southwest Eighth Street, the pulsating heart of South Florida's historic Cuban community. But like Little Havana itself, the festival, once mainly attended by Cubans, has become a virtual Pan-American showcase, drawing Dominicans, Venezuelans, Argentines and many others, underscoring the increasing diversity of South Florida's Hispanic population. "I've been coming for years, and I love it," said Clara Blanco, 49, eating pulled roast meat and drinking bottled water.
