A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA,
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ("FDOT"), THE FOLLOWING TWO
PARCELS OF LAND: PARCEL 1 CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY .817 ACRES OF
CITY -OWNED REAL PROPERTY, LOCATED ON NORTHWEST 12TH AVENUE
AND 11TH STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA, (PARCEL 110) AS MORE PARTICULARLY
DESCRIBED IN "EXHIBIT A," ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED; AND PARCEL 2
CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 6,984 SQUARE FEET OF CITY -OWNED REAL
PROPERTY, LOCATED ON THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF 12TH AVENUE AND
11TH STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA, (PARCEL 108) AS MORE PARTICULARLY
DESCRIBED IN "EXHIBIT B," ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, TO BE USED IN
CONNECTION WITH THE NORTHWEST 12TH AVENUE BRIDGE
RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, SUBJECT TO FDOT PROVIDING FUNDING IN
THE AMOUNT OF $142,645.02, FOR THE COST OF RELOCATING
AND IMPROVING THE PUBLIC WORKS WORKSHOP, CURRENTLY LOCATED
UNDER THE 12TH AVENUE BRIDGE, TO ANOTHER CITY -OWNED SITE AND TO
RETROFIT THE NEW SITE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY
ATTORNEY, TO EFFECTUATE SAID CONVEYANCE.
WHEREAS, the State of Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT") is finalizing plans for the
construction and improvement of the Northwest 12th Avenue Bridge also known as State Road 933,
Financial Project No. 2496401, Section 87085-2510, in Miami -Dade County, Florida; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that certain lands now owned by the City of Miami ("City"), be provided
to FDOT to enable the construction of said road improvements to serve the best interest of the
general welfare of the City and its inhabitants; and
WHEREAS, as to Parcel 1, FDOT will provide the City with the necessary funds, in the amount of
$142,645.02, to relocate the Public Works Workshop from their current location under the 12th
Avenue Bridge to another City -owned site and to retrofit the new site; and
WHEREAS, as to Parcel 2, FDOT has agreed to assume the terms and conditions of the
Covenant entered into between the City and Winn Dixie Stores, Inc., a Florida Corporation, on July 1,
1998;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.

Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to convey to FDOT the following two parcels of land:
Parcel 1 containing approximately .817 acres of City -owned real property, located on Northwest 12th
Avenue and 11th Street, Miami, Florida, Parcel 110, as more particularly described in "Exhibit A,"
attached and incorporated; and Parcel 2 containing approximately 6,984 square feet of City -owned
real property, located on the Northeast corner of 12th Avenue and 11th Street, Miami, Florida, Parcel
108, as more particularly described in "Exhibit B," attached and incorporated, legally described in
"Exhibits A" and "B," attached and incorporated, to be used in connection with the Northwest 12th
Avenue Bridge Reconstruction Project, subject to FDOT providing funding in the amount of
$142,645.02, for the cost to relocate and improve the Public Works Workshop, currently located
under the 12th Avenue Bridge, to another City -owned site and to retrofit the new site.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute the necessary documents, in a form
acceptable to the City Attorney, to effectuate said conveyance.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{2}
Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
