HomeMy WebLinkAboutmemoCITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM 17 Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Commission DATE scar REFERENCES: ENr ..ogtarIES: September 28, 2001 FILE Approving the Findings of the Evaluation Committee for RFP #00-01-.162 8CgMPTENDATIoN It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission approve the findings of the Evaluation Committee for Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 00-01-162 for Banking Services, and to authorize the City Manager to enter into negotiations with the recommended firms in rank order. »4CKGROU,NP On July 13, 2001, REP No. 00-01-162 was issued with responses due to the Office of the City Clerk by August 27, 2001. Three (3) proposals were received, and three proposals were found to be responsive and in accordance with the terms set by the REP, :Top meetings (September 7. 2001 and September 27, 2001) were held by the REP Evaluation Committee to review and evaluate the proposals. The proposals were evaluated bid on the Proposer's a) Qualifications and Experience; b) Ability and Capability to Perfan Required Services; c) Corporate Community Comrnitment; d) Fees for Services, and e) Minority/Women Participation. The results of the Committee's findings in order of results from the proposer with the highest point awarded to the least are as follows: 1) First Union Bank 2) Bank of America 3) Sun Trust It is the reconunendation of the Evaluation Committee that the City Manager negotiate with the highest ranked proposer, and in the event negotiations are not successful, proud to negotiate with the second ranked proposer. If negotiations are unsuccessful, then the commit recommends that a new RFP be issued for banking services. CAGIRJNACPCJdg
