JG SURVIVALINH The FirstSave® STAR" Biphasic AED is the only escalating variable energy waveform that delivers optimal current each time by actively responding to an SCA victim's Impedance and customizing the defibrillation waveform to ensure the greatest opportunity for success. In clinical trials, the FirstSave STAR Biphasic AED has an overall first shock success rate of 100 percent, Studies have also proven a correlation to the number of shocks administered and survival rates. The most significant factor in measuring survival is s five (5) defibrillation shocks. Field data has shown that the average number of shocks per patient for Survivalink's FirstSave AED is 2.3 ± 1-7. Additionally, the FirstSave STAR Biphasic AED is consistent with AHA guidelines for escalating energy, delivering variable energy levels for a broad range of patient impedances (1403 — 3603). Specification: The number of shocks delivered shall be displayed In the automated mode. The FirstSave AED meets this specification. Specification: Protocol configuration options shall be available for the AED. This is to include automated shock energy levels, start up options for automated mode, voice prompt volume and on/'off features, and memory data card dearing options. Protocol configuration options shall be capable of being configured in the field by the user without disassembling the unit or by the vendor at no cost to the SDF & LSS for the normal expected life of the AED. The FirstSave AED has programmable options that can be configured through Survivallnk's MDLink software. Features such as energy protocol, CPR time, self -test options and ambient noise recording can be field configured.
