A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY FACILITIES FOR FUELING CITY OF MIAMI VEHICLES,
FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE, IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$2,046,500, AND FOR THE GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION ("GSA"), IN
AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $35,000, ON AN AS -NEEDED CONTRACT BASIS,
UNDER THE SAME ESTABLISHED CONTRACTUAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
AGREED TO IN THE LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING, DATED JULY 13, 1994,
SUBJECT TO FURTHER EXTENSIONS OR REPLACEMENT CONTRACTS, BY
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY; ALLOCATING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$2,046,500, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2004-2005, FROM THE GENERAL OPERATING
BUDGET OF THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE, AND AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$35,000, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2004-2005, FROM THE GENERAL OPERATING
BUDGET OF THE GSA, WITH FUTURE FISCAL YEAR FUNDING SUBJECT ONLY
TO BUDGETARY APPROVAL.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The use of Miami -Dade County fueling facilities, for fueling City of Miami vehicles, for
the Department of Police ("Police"), in an amount not to exceed $2,046,500, and for General Services
Administration ("GSA") in an amount not to exceed $35,000, on an as -needed contract basis, under
the same established contractual terms and conditions agreed to in the Letter of Understanding,
dated July 13, 1994, subject to further extensions or replacement contracts by Miami -Dade County, is
authorized, with funds allocated in the amount not to exceed $2,046,500, for Fiscal Year 2004-2005,
from the General Operating Budget of Police and an amount not to exceed $35,000, for Fiscal Year
2004-2005, from the General Operating Budget of the GSA, with future Fiscal Year funding subject
only to budgetary approval.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and the
signature of the Mayor.{1}
Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
