HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-04-0612City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-04-0612 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 04-01018 Final Action Date: 9/23/2004 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION ESTABLISHING A NEW SPECIAL REVENUE FUND ENTITLED: "THE CHILDREN'S TRUST GRANT" TO FUND THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION'S HEART OF OUR PARKS YEAR ROUND RECREATION, CULTURAL AND CORE EDUCATIONAL OUT -OF -SCHOOL TIME PROGRAMS AT JUAN PABLO DUARTE PARK, LEGION MEMORIAL PARK, MOORE PARK, ATHALIE RANGE PARK AND SHENANDOAH PARK, CONSISTING OF A GRANT FROM THE CHILDREN'S TRUST, IN THE AMOUNT OF $500,000, WITH MATCHING FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $463,384 FROM THE CITY OF MIAMI, FORATOTALAPPROPRIATION AMOUNT OF $963,384; ALLOCATING SAID MATCHING FUNDS FROM THE BUDGETS OF VARIOUS AGENCIES AND THE PARKS AND RECREATION GENERAL FUND; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, TO IMPLEMENT ACCEPTANCE OF SAID GRANT. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The following new Special Revenue Fund is established and resources are appropriated as described below: FUND TITLE: The Children's Trust Grant RESOURCES: The Children's Trust $500,000 City of Miami - Matching Funds $463,384 APPROPRIATION: $963,384 Section 2. City of Miami matching funds, in an amount not to exceed $463,384, are allocated from the budgets of various agencies and the Parks and Recreation General fund. Section 3. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute the necessary documents, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, to implement acceptance of said grant. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} Footnotes: City of Miami Page 1 of 2 File Id: 04-01018 (Version: 1) Printed On: 9/30/2016 File Number: 04-01018 Enactment Number: R-04-0612 {1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code provisions. {2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
