A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION PROVIDING POLICE, FIRE,
PUBLIC WORKS, AND SOLID WASTE SUPPORT SERVICES TO THE ANNUAL
CARIBBEAN PARADE SCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2004,
PROVIDED THAT THE PARADE ROUTE INCLUDE DOWNTOWN, OVERTOWN
AND/OR PARKWEST; DIRECTING THE CHIEF OF STRATEGIC PLANNING,
BUDGETING AND PERFORMANCE TO IDENTIFY THE COSTS OF SAID
SERVICES AND FUNDING SOURCE(S) FOR SUCH MUNICIPAL SERVICES AND
FEES AND TO REPORT THE FINDINGS TO THE CITY COMMISSION AT ITS
MEETING ON SEPTEMBER 23, 2004.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Commission provides Police, Fire, Public Works, and Solid Waste support
services to the Annual Caribbean Parade scheduled for Sunday, October 10, 2004, provided that the
parade route include Downtown, Overtown and/or Parkwest.
Section 2. The Chief of Strategic Planning, Budgeting and Performance is directed to identify
costs of said services and the funding source(s) (i.e. from the Quality of Life Outdoor Advertised
Settlement account) for such municipal services and fees, and to report the findings to the City
Commission at its meeting on September 23, 2004.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1}
Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
