Re: Community Relations Board
Dear Ms. Rojas:
On February 3, 2004, City TV - Channel 9 aired a notice that the Community
Relations Board was actively seeking applications for membership. I have
heard of the wonderful successes and plans of this Board and am anxious to
become a part. I have lived in the City of Miami for well over 50 years and
believe my work experience along with my community interests would make
me an ideal candidate for appointment.
The television announcement did not indicate what the selection process is;
however, if you are not the right person, I hope that you will forward the
attached resume to the proper recipient for consideration.
Should you need anything further, or have any questions, please contact me
at the number below. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
i

Dear Ms. Rojas;
Attached find my resume for consideration of membership on the Community Relations
Committee. As you will see, I have professional background and experience in community
relations issues. In my job I am responsible for succession planning and leadership program
development. I serve as a facilitator, a mediator and a coach. I have a reputation for being
someone people turn to for guidance. I work with all levels of people, from my upward mobility
programs to serving as an executive coach for my federal agency. I also bring to the table my
personal integrity and passion for working towards a sustainable community in which to live and
work. I believe I have the background to know how to do this. I love Miami and believe it can
be one of the greatest cities in the world. As a citizen, I have been active in my own
neighborhood. The Community Relations Community can provide me a venue in which I
believe I can help make a difference. Thank you for your consideration.
