A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION ACCEPTING THE BIDS OF
VISTA INTERNATIONAL, BEST MAINTENANCE & JANITORIAL SERVICE, AFTER
HOURS CLEANING SERVICE AND DIAMOND CONTRACT SERVICES, AND
ADDITIONAL VENDORS THAT MAY BE ADDED AS REQUIRED, FOR THE
PROVISION OF PRE -QUALIFIED CUSTODIAL/JANITORIAL SERVICES, FOR THE
DEPARTMENT OF PURCHASING, TO BE USED CITYWIDE, ON AN AS -NEEDED
CONTRACT BASIS FORATWO-YEAR PERIOD, WITH THE OPTION TO RENEW
FOR TWO ADDITIONAL ONE-YEAR PERIODS, AT AN ANNUAL AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $500,000; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE GENERAL OPERATING
BUDGETS OF THE VARIOUS OPERATIONS DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES,
AUTHORIZING SAID PURCHASES, AS NEEDED, SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY
OF FUNDS, AS MAY BE ADJUSTED FROM TIME TO TIME BY THE CITY
COMMISSION IN THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS/CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS
ORDINANCES, OR AS OTHERWISE ADJUSTED AS PERMITTED BY LAW.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bids of Vista International, Best Maintenance & Janitorial Service, After Hours
Cleaning Service and Diamond Contract Services, and additional vendors that may be added as
required, for the provision of pre -qualified custodial/janitorial services, for the Department of
Purchasing, to be used Citywide, on an as -needed contract basis for a two-year period, with the
option to renew for two additional one-year periods, at an annual amount not to exceed $500,000, is
accepted, with funds allocated from the General Operating Budgets of the various operations
departments and agencies, authorizing said purchases, as needed, subject to availability of funds, as
may be adjusted from time to time by the City Commission in the annual Appropriations/Capital
Improvements Ordinances, or as otherwise adjusted as permitted by law.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1}
Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
