Funding is available from the Department of Police General Operating Budget, Account Code No. 001000.290201.6. 270. 1. Primary Vendor: Bob Ferrer, Inc., a Non-Minority/Miami-Dade County vendor, located at 6447 Miami Lakes Drive East, Suite 220, Miami, FL 33014. 2. Secondary Vendor: Joseph W. Harper & Associates, a Non-Minority/Miami-Dade County vendor, located at 7780 S.W. 117 Avenue, Suite 201, Miami, FL 33183. BACKGROUND The Department of Police requires the services of two qualified firms to provide, on an as needed basis, pre -employment polygraph examinations, for both sworn and civilian applicants. The Police Department has only two certified polygraph examiners. The polygraph examination services to be provided by these two firms will support the Police Department's two in-house polygraphists, and assist in attaining departmental hiring goals by increasing the number of candidates processed. The Department of Police has analyzed the bids received pursuant to Bid No. 03-04-093, for the provision of polygraph examination services. The award of this contract is to be made to the two (2) lowest bidders, with the lowest deemed the "primary vendor" and the next !owes;, the "secondary vendor." Bob Ferrer, Inc., submitted the lowest bid and is therefore recomrradnded for award as the "primary vendor", and Joseph W. Harper & Associates, submitted ttlt next., lowest bid and is therefore recommended for award as the "secondary vendor." t, s FISCAL IMPACT: None, budgeted item.
