HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-04-0521City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-04-0521 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 04-00839 Final Action Date: 7/29/2004 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), RATIFYING, APPROVING AND CONFIRMING THE SALARY AND BENEFITS TO BE RECEIVED BY INTERIM CITY ATTORNEY MARIAJ. CHIARO. WHEREAS, on June 10, 2004, Maria J. Chiaro was appointed as Interim City Attorney of the City of Miami, Florida, by Motion, attached and incorporated, effective June 25, 2004; and WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to compensate Maria J. Chiaro for the duties of City Attorney during the time she acts as the interim at the current rate paid to the City Attorney; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The salary and benefits to be received by Maria J. Chiaro as Interim City Attorney, listed on "Attachment No. 1," attached and incorporated, are set forth, ratified, approved and confirmed. As compensation, Maria J. Chiaro shall receive the annual sum set forth in "Attachment No. 1," and shall receive the same cost of living increase, if any, available on an annual basis to all eligible City of Miami employees. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{1} Footnotes: {1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
