As part of its Centennial Campaign and in response to both an internal evaluation and as part of recent recommendations from Florida Council of Independent Schools and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the school is seeking to modernize its Everglades Campus located at 2045 South Bayshore Drive, Miami, Florida. As Ransom Everglades begins its efforts to renovate, the Everglades Campus is requesting that the City of Miami ("City") comprehensive plan be amended so that the subject property will be designated as Major Institutional Public Facilities, Transportation and Utilities and that the remaining portion of the Everglades campus currently zoned R-1 be rezoned to G-I, so that the entire campus will be zoned G-I. The School has had a campus in Coconut Grove and has served the community as an important educational institution for one hundred years. Yet, for some reason, the City has never conformed its comprehensive plan and zoning to properly reflect the existence of the school's two campuses.
