BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Commission hereby directs the City Manager to return to the City Commission with an amendment to Chapter 2/Article X of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended ("City Code"), titled "Administration/Code Enforcement," in order to reinstate Section 2-830 of the City Code, titled "Alternate Code Enforcement System," providing for an alternate code enforcement system that gives Special Magistrates the same authority as the Code Enforcement Board to hold hearings and impose fines, cost, liens, and other non -criminal penalties against violators of the City Code. Section 2. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
