A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 03-948, ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 9, 2003, WHICH
REESTABLISHED AND RECREATED THE COMMUNITY TECHNOLOGY
ADVISORY BOARD ("ADVISORY BOARD") ,TO EXTEND THE SUNSET DATE OF
THE ADVISORY BOARD FROM SEPTEMBER 9, 2004 TO SEPTEMBER 9, 2006.
WHEREAS, the Community Technology Advisory Board ("Advisory Board") has been working
diligently toward its goal to present the City Commission with a viable program to provide City of
Miami ("City") parks with educational, technological, and recreational resources to provide
Information Technology opportunities to inner -City residents, as set forth in the report, attached and
incorporated; and
WHEREAS, the Advisory Board requires additional time before it is ready to present its
recommendations to the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Advisory Board had requested that its scheduled sunset date be extended for
one year of the mandated sunset date, from September 9, 2004 to September 9, 2005, required by
Resolution No. 03-948, adopted September 9, 2003, which reestablished and recreated the Advisory
Board; and
WHEREAS, on July 22, 2004, the City Commission amended the Advisory Board's request by
extending the sunset date for two years;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Resolution No. 03-948, adopted September 9, 2003, is amended in the following
particulars:{1 }
"RESOLUTION NO. 03-948
Section 3. Sunset of Board.
The Board shall sunset September 9. 200/1 September 9, 2006.

Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature
of the Mayor.{2}

shall be added. The remaining provisions are now in effect and remain unchanged. Asterisks
indicate omitted and unchanged material.
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall
become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
