The goal of this plan is to provide for documentation, recovery, and preservation of archaeological data and objects that might occur with in the area of the project footprint. It is the intent to retain the services of a Archaeologist approved by Miami -Dade County to implement this plan to meet all guidelines and requirements as stated in City of Miami Historic Preservation Ordinance, the general intent of Miami -Dade County Ordinance 16A-10 and the review process of the County Archaeologist, and the State of Florida's Unmarked Human Burial Act 872.05, as it might pertain to any human remains that may occur within the project parcel. Field Investigation / Research: Field investigation and research was already pro -formed by archaeologist from Miami - Dade County. No signification findings were found. They still recommend a monitoring plan as provide herein. Attached please find a copy of the Archaeological Report previously conducted by the Miami -Dade County Archaeologist. Monitoring: Monitoring by a archaeologist will occur during soil disturbing activities such as, excavations, digging, trenching, etc. The developer as part of the project process will permit documentation of any significant archaeological objects and features. Analysis: All recovered materials will be subject to cleaning, cataloging, and analysis. All results will be provided in the final reports. Furthermore, samples of faunal bone, botanical remains, and sediments will be provided the appropriate Agencies such as Miami Museum of Southern Florida, Miami -Dade County Archaeological Department to provide them the opportunity to perform their own analysis to allow for reconstruction of both cultural and environmental history of the area. Reports: Copies of final reports will be provided to the City of Miami Historic Preservation Board, the Miami -Dade County Archaeologist, and the Historic Museum of Southern Florida, and any other interested agencies or institution. Unexpected Discoveries: In the event of an unanticipated discovery of a significant feature such as a human grave(s), structure foundations, or other unusual or unique features of historic or archaeological significance, such discoveries will be reported to the City of Miami Historic Preservation Board and Miami -Dade County Archaeologist within 48 hours (during business days) after the discovery. If human remains are discovered then the guidelines of Florida State Statue 872.05, the Unmarked Human Graves Act, will be followed. Sincerely, Alan S.
