HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-04-0497City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-04-0497 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 04-00760 Final Action Date: 7/22/2004 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN COMPENSATION FOR THE PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES OF CONSUL -TECH TRANSPORTATION, INC., PREVIOUSLY APPROVED BY RESOLUTION NO. 04-0011, ADOPTED JANUARY 8, 2004, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $2,000,000, INCREASING COMPENSATION FROM $1,000,000 TO $3,000,000, FOR PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES FOR MANAGEMENT SKILLS TO BE UTILIZED CITYWIDE ON AN AS -NEEDED CONTRACT BASIS; AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 04-0011 TO REFLECT SAID INCREASE; ALLOCATING FUNDS FOR SAID INCREASE FROM VARIOUS CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AND SPECIAL REVENUE FUND PROJECT ACCOUNTS. WHEREAS, Resolution No. 04-0011, adopted January 8, 2004, approved the procurement of general engineering consultant services from Consul -Tech Transportation, Inc.; and WHEREAS, the Director of Capital Improvements and Transportation, in conjunction with, Consul -Tech Transportation, Inc. have reviewed the scope of services and estimated fees for on -going general engineering consultant services and determined that an increase to the contract amount is warranted; and WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") will continue to procure this service under the State of Florida Contract No. C-8286, effective until March 19, 2007; and WHEREAS, this contract will enable the City to continue to use professional consulting services to assist in the implementation of the $568 million Capital Improvements Plan; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this section. Section 2. An increase in the compensation for professional consulting services from Consul -Tech Transportation, Inc., previously approved by Resolution No. 04-0011, adopted January 8, 2004, in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000, from $1,000,000 to $3,000,000, for professional consulting services for management skills, to be utilized on a Citywide basis, is authorized. Section 3. Section 2 of Resolution No. 04-0011 is amended in the following particulars:{1} "Resolution No. 04-0011 City of Miami Page 1 of 2 File Id: 04-00760 (Version: 2) Printed On: 9/27/2016 File Number: 04-00760 Enactment Number: R-04-0497 Section 2. The procurement of general engineering consultant services from Consul -Tech Transportation, Inc., for the Department of Purchasing, is approved, utilizing existing State of Florida Contract No. C-8286, effective until March 19, 200/1 2007, subject to further extensions or replacement contracts by the State of Florida, to be used on an as -needed contract basis Citywide, in an amount not to exceed $1,000,000 $3,000,000, with funds allocated from Account Nos. 122001.250106.6.270. *I1 Section 4. Funds, in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000, for said increase, are allocated from various Capital Improvements and Special Revenue Fund project accounts. Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor. {2} Footnotes: {1} Words/and or figures stricken through shall be deleted. Underscored words and/or figures shall be added. The remaining provisions are now in effect and remain unchanged. Asterisks indicate omitted and unchanged material. {2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
