A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT FROM THE STATE OF
FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ("FDOT"), THE CONVEYANCE
OF THE FOLLOWING TWO PARCELS OF LAND FOR PUBLIC PURPOSE USE
SUBJECT TO COMPLETION OF DUE DILIGENCE BY THE CITY OF MIAMI ("CITY")
INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, REVIEW OF THE SURVEYS, APPRAISALS,
ENVIRONMENTAL REPORTS, TITLE WORK AND INSURANCE: (A) PARCEL 1
CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 1.7 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED AT
APPROXIMATELY NORTHWEST 20TH STREET, ADJACENT TO INTERSTATE
HIGHWAY NO. 95, MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN
"EXHIBIT A," ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED; ALLOCATING FUNDS, IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $16,000, FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
PROJECTS ("CIP"), POLICE TRAINING FACILITY FUNDING PROJECT ACCOUNT
NO. 312043.509307.270, APPROPRIATED FROM THE $255 MILLION HOMELAND
DEFENSE/NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT BOND, FOR THE COST OF DUE
DILIGENCE AND CLOSING EXPENSES; AND (B) PARCEL 2 CONTAINING
APPROXIMATELY 2.31 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED BETWEEN NORTHWEST
15TH STREET AND 17TH STREET, ALONG NORTHWEST 6TH PLACE, MIAMI,
FLORIDA, AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN "EXHIBIT B," ATTACHED
AND INCORPORATED; ALLOCATING FUNDS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$22,000, FROM CIP, WAGNER CREEK RENOVATIONS - PHASE IV, PROJECT
ACCOUNT NO. 352259.509301.270, FOR THE COST OF DUE DILIGENCE AND
CLOSING EXPENSES.
WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT") has declared surplus two
properties located between Interstate Highway No. 95 and Northwest 7th Avenue, between Northwest
15th and 20th Streets, Miami, Florida (FDOT Item/Segment No. 2516381; WPI No. 6141870; Section
Job No. 87270-2477; State Road No. CSX Rail Corridor) and in accordance with Section 337.25(4)
Florida Statutes, has offered the City of Miami ("City") a first right of refusal; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration has determined it to be in the best interest of the City to
accept the conveyance of said properties, subject to completion of due diligence by the City,
including, but not limited to, surveys, appraisals, environmental reports, and review of title work and
insurance, to be used for public purpose; and
WHEREAS, as to Parcel 1, funds for due diligence and closing expenses in the amount of
$16,000 will be allocated from the Police Training Facility Funding Project Account No.
312043.509307.270 appropriated from the $255 Million Homeland Defense/Neighborhood
Improvement Bond; and
WHEREAS, as to Parcel 2, funds for due diligence and closing expenses in the amount of
$22,000 will be allocated from the Capital Improvement Projects, Wagner Creek Renovations - Phase

IV, Project Account No. 352259.509301.270;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to accept from FDOT the conveyance of the
following two parcels of land for public purpose use subject to completion of due diligence by the City
including, but not limited to, review of the surveys, appraisals, environmental reports, title work and
insurance.
Section 3. Funds for Parcel 1 containing approximately 1.7 acres of land located at
approximately Northwest 20th Street, adjacent to Interstate Highway No. 95, Miami, Florida, as more
particularly described in "Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated, for the cost of due diligence and
closing expenses, in an amount not to exceed $16,000, are allocated from the CIP, Police Training
Facility Funding Project Account No. 312043.509307.270, appropriated from the $255 Million
Homeland Defense/Neighborhood Improvement Bond.
Section 4. Funds for Parcel 2 containing approximately 2.31 acres of land located between
Northwest 15th Street and 17th Street, along Northwest 6th Place, Miami, Florida, as more
particularly described in "Exhibit "B," attached and incorporated, for the cost of due diligence and
closing expenses in an amount not to exceed $22,000, are allocated from the Capital Improvement
Projects, Wagner Creek Renovations - Phase IV, Project Account No. 352259.509301.270.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature
of the Mayor.{2}
Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
