A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
("CDBG") PROGRAM FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $50,000, FROM THE
LITTLE HAITI JOB CREATION PILOT PROJECT, AND ALLOCATING SAID FUNDS
TO FANM AYISYEN NAN MIYAMI, INC., FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
ACTIVITIES BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2004 TO SEPTEMBER 30, 2005;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT, IN
SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, WITH SAID AGENCY.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 98-402.1, adopted April 14, 1998, established the allocation of
$225,000 of Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") Program funds to implement the Little
Haiti Job Creation Project, which represented the first installment of a five-year commitment to create
jobs and stimulate businesses in Little Haiti for neighborhood residents; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 01-443, adopted May 1, 2001, approved the creation of the Little Haiti
Job Creation Pilot Project and adopted project guidelines;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The transfer of CDBG Program funds, in the amount of $50,000 from the Little Haiti
Job Creation Pilot Project, and the allocation of said funds to Fanm Ayisyen Nan Miyami, Inc., for the
purpose of economic development, beginning October 1, 2004 to September 30, 2005, is authorized.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute an Agreement, in substantially the
attached form, with said agency.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor {2}.

{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of (10) calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
