N/A. Consideration of amending Ordinance No. 11000, as amended, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Miami, Florida, by amending Articles 9 and 25, more specifically Section 915.2. Aviation Hazards and Section 2502 Specific Definitions, in order to modify the provisions for Special Permits for Aviation Hazards and the Definition of "lodging unit"; containing a repealer provision and a severability clause; and providing for an effective date. Approval. The proposed amendment is in order to correct certain errors in the zoning ordinance. First is the requirement that FAA clearance be obtained pursuant to a Special Exception; this is being eliminated in that the Zoning Board has no jurisdiction in these matters; the FAA clearance letter is a requirement that should be enacted administratively during the permitting process. The second error is in the definition of "lodging unit"; the zoning ordinance currently says that such units must be less than 200 sq. ft., when it should read "greater" than 200 sq. ft.; this is clearly a scrivener's error and is being corrected herein. Recommended approval to VOTE: 9-0 City Commission.
